Many of us have heard about the lost City of Greenwood, Oklahoma, home to the Black Wall Street. An entire community of Black businesses, homes, churches and schools were destroyed., burned down and had to be abandoned because a white woman claimed a Black man had attacked her. Unfortunately, the story of the Tulsa Massacre and lost Black cities is an un-unique one. From the north to the south, entire cities and their histories have been wiped away due to violent overt and systemic racism. Journey through this map which tells the stories of Black cities all around the nation that have been lost, but unforgotten.
